Pastor David G. Boone is committed to Biblical truths and “making disciples” of Jesus Christ. This commitment is done through prayer, the Word, fellowship and personal involvement. He encourages every individual to follow, grow and serve in Christ passionately. He is dedicated to his family and is passionate about leading others to Christ. He is a man of prayer, wisdom, and Biblical knowledge. He is easy to talk with and is often described as being “real”.
Pastor Boone was born in Midland, Texas and grew up in Amarillo, Texas. He comes from many generations of Apostolic teaching and background. At a young age David began feeling the call of God on his life and started pursuing the ministry under the guidance of his late grandfather, Travis Starnes, who was the Pastor of Northside United Pentecostal Church in Amarillo, TX. He served with his grandfather and worked at Nunn Electric in bids and contracts for seven years.
In 1992 he married his wife Shanna Robinson from Levelland, TX. Later, in 1998, both David and Shanna felt a call to become youth pastors for Rev. Randy Stanton in Brownsville, TX. After a year of serving as the youth pastor, David G. Boone was voted in as senior pastor of New Life Brownsville and is currently serving in this position.
David G. Boone has been a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International since 1996 and has served as the South Texas District children’s ministry director, and is currently serving as sectional secretary of the Rio Grande Valley.
David G. Boone and Shanna have two children, Haley Boone and Ryan Boone. Haley is currently attending Indiana Bible College for a degree in music and Biblical studies. Ryan is currently a freshman in High School. They both are talented and have the calling of God upon their lives.
Shanna Boone is the wife of David Boone and loves her family, people, and serving Jesus. She serves as the music director for New Life Brownsville among other positions. Shanna has an Associate’s Degree in microbiology and is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling for families and adolescents. She also founded Breakthrough Ladies Ministries, which has been a success in introducing women to Jesus. Shanna has also written several plays and skits to use for ministry and is a substitute teacher at First Baptist School in Brownsville, TX. She is passionate about serving others and leading them to heaven.
Pastor Phillip Chio has been ministering at New Life Brownsville for over 15 years where he has been involved in music, Sunday school, and served as student pastor for 13 years. In 2015 he was appointed and currently serves as the P7 coordinator for the South Texas District. He is a dedicated husband, father, and servant of Jesus Christ. He has been married to Maggie Chio since 2010. Maggie is a loving wife and mother who graduated with a bachelor’s in nursing from the University of Texas in Brownsville, and is currently a nurse at Castaneda Elementary. She loves God and people, she serves in a variety of ministries at New Life Brownsville, she served alongside her husband in youth ministry for many years, Sunday school, and in the worship team. They have a lively 2 and a half-year-old son named Uriah Lucas, and they are expecting their second baby boy. Pastor Phillip and family are here to serve God and His people.
Susan Rule is a 4th generation member of New Life Brownsville. She has faithfully served as the secretary for 37 years. She has worked in all areas of church ministry. She is married to Brooks Rule and has one daughter, Miranda.
The De Los Santos family has been attending New Life Brownsville Since 2017. Michael and Sarah are both graduates of Apostolic Bible Institute where they met in 2002. They were married in December 2004 and have four wonderful children, Grace, David, Victoria and Hannah. Michael has been a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International since 2004 where he served in various ministerial roles, both in the local church and local section. In 2014 he was elected to serve as the Youth and Hyphen director for the RGV section, a position he currently holds. Sarah has served in various ministerial roles in the local church in Sunday school and music ministry. The De Los Santos Family loves God, His work, and His people.
Charlie grew up attending New Life Brownsville. He and Melissa began attending full time in 2012 and began serving shortly after. They currently serve as Student Pastors and are the leaders of the First Impressions Team. Together, they organize the church management software. Melissa is one of the Worship Leaders and assists in managing the Events Calendar.
Charlie and Melissa have two daughters, Sadie and Claudia. Sadie has a burden for souls and has started the first P7 Club in her school district. Claudia has the heart of a servant and loves to serve in any area of her church.
The Martinez family have a heart for Brownsville, Texas. They strive to live their lives in a way that glorifies God and leads people to Him.
